Edward Ayub Physical Therapy works closely with the Sweetwater Union High School district to provide athletic training services to the 10 district high schools. The Chula Vista location works as a “central training room” so that injured athletes, at any of the ten high schools, can be referred in for an injury screen and evaluation. Once screened, an appropriate treatment strategy is made and given to the athlete. In addition, staff from Edward Ayub Physical Therapy provide on-site athletic training services to all football games of the ten Sweetwater district high schools. Throughout the football season, a free injury evaluation clinic is scheduled each Saturday morning. This clinic is attended by local orthopedic surgeons as well as representatives from Scripps Family Medicine, and Kaiser Orthopedics.
Four times per year, student physicals are performed by the Edward Ayub Physical Therapy staff in conjunction with local physicians. Approximately 700 to 1000 athletes are given their pre-participation screenings on a low cost basis per year.The following are schools in the Sweetwater School District.
